Gavin had his 1st official pictures at a picture studio. He was pretty tired so it was a challenge getting him to smile, but I think the pictures still turned out pretty good. We have lots of copies and actually got the copyrights to a CD of pictures. So if you want a copy let us know which picture and what size...we already have some set aside for family but will be happy to send more.

Swim Baby Swim
Gavin went to the pool for the first time. We were laughing so hard - his head is so big!! We had a hard time getting on the swim shirt. Other than that it was a lot of fun...he really loved it. We hope to get him into lessons at about 3 months (on Barb's To-Do-List).

Window Seat
The flight home from Kansas City was not even close to full. Gavin and Barb had an entire row to ourselves. Gavin got the WINDOW!! Not quite sure why we flew on 9/11; we weren't thinking when we booked the flight. Everything turned out just fine though - and as always Gavin was a champ.
Kansas City
We took our second plane trip today to KC to visit the corporate office (PCG in Lenexa). Gavin got to meet some of his new friends; during the day he stayed with a very good friend of the family Mary. They had a great time. At night he hung out with his two friends at Fort Langley.

Prescott Road Trip
We took our first real road trip today to Prescott, AZ to visit Great Grandma & Grandpa Hendricks. Seen how GSH is the first great grandchild it was a pretty special visit. He was great in the car for the 3 hour drive - both there and the way back. We had a lovely spaghetti lunch that grandpa cooked and enjoyed visiting with them both. GSH liked meeting his GG's - as you can see from the pictures.
We can't wait to visit again - next time we'll probably stay for the weekend and take in some of the sights of quaint little Prescott.

Shots - Ouch!!
Today GSH got is 1 month shots at the pediatrician. He cried just when they put in the needle, then he was good. He's such a champ. He even got a snoopy band-aid.
He also weighed in at 12 lbs 5 oz (2 lb increase from 3 weeks ago...holy crap) [95%tile], measured 23" long (1" increase from birth) [89%tile], and his head takes after his father at 15.5" (1.5" increase from birth)...with a head that big it is no wonder he would come out naturally!!
He is healthy, growing quickly, and as always showed off for the doctor.

Play Date
We had our first official play date today. Cutie pie down the street. GSH had fun, but check out the stories from mom below - wow what an adventure!
YOWZER! Jess & I had just finished 2 discussions, 1 about poopy baby diapers and the other about how difficult twins would be. I decided to offer to watch both babies while Jess went to pick up her 2 year old. This picture was taken in the first 15 minutes of that - things slowly went down hill. Baby girl fussed a little so I picked her up, then of course GSH fussed. Well GSH was fussing because he left the biggest load of his life in his diaper - holy COW! So here I am trying to change the ultimate poopy diaper, it was EVERYWHERE. Baby girl is crying and I'm trying to talk to her while I'm going through wipe after wipe after wipe. Got that all done and then she was not fussing, but screaming. I tried to calm her down but she knew I wasn't mom! Of course GSH hears the fussing and thinks he too should cry. I have 2 crying babies (jynxed myself with the twin talk). I managed to pick them both up, one in each arm and bounce on the yoga ball...thank you Jess for that fantastic idea...I've already blown mine up and put it in the living room. Holy cow - I got a work out during this play date. And the next friend I have that has twins I will offer all the help I can give.
In the end I decided it wasn't that bad - look at these two, they are the cutest ever!
