Liam's 3 year checkup!
He's officially given up afternoon naps and is so proud of himself.  Absolutely ZERO interested in potty training, and believe me we've tried everything.  He has hippie blonde hair, that has darkened a little this winter, but we expect our little toe head back again this summer.  He is definitely creating his own personality and learning how to interact (good and bad) with adults.  He's a really great big brother to Lola, loves to love on her and take care of her.  When he's in the mood he's a good little brother and enjoys playing with Gavin too.

The Stats

Lola is now 15 months and definitely the leader of the pack when it comes to height!  She's so advance with her vocabulary too.  She will attempt to repeat just about anything you ask her to.  About 40% of the repeats sound familiar, the remainder are Lola Language, which we are trying to learn ourselves.  She has embraced sign language as the boys did and that definitely helps with the language frustrations.  Liam  and Lola are the best of buds because Gavin is at school 3 days a week.  Someone actually asked me if these two were twins.  She is so loving and sweet but definitely has a rough and tough side to her - all good things in a Hendricks girl :)

Thanksgiving Feast

Gavin's transitional kindergarten class dressed up as Indians and pilgrims and shared a wonderful thanksgiving feast.  They've been learning all about the food groups and were able to pick something to bring from one of the food groups (fruits/veggies/protein/etc.)  Gavin chose bananas and blueberries.

Breakfast with Santa

It was a whirlwind weekend that started Saturday morning being the first ones to arrive at breakfast with Santa.  Gavin and Jason had to leave for basketball, but not before Gavin had a chance to tell Santa his wish list.  Lola was not a Santa fan at all, maybe next year.  She did love the horses on the sleigh ride though.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful time celebrating the time for thanks together as a family.  It was even kind of nice outside so we were able to play a little bit.

Lola's 1 year stats

The family princess turned 1!!  And this giant is FAR from a princess.  She's rough and tough and tries every day to keep up with her rambunctios brothers.  If you ask us she does a really good job.  We're beginning to think she may be the athlete of the family...we'll see.  Either way we're so, so, so happy Miss Lola was added to the family, she has been the perfect addition!!!

2014 Seattle 3 Day

This was our 6th year participating in the 60 mile challenge.  Seattle is probably our favorite city to do the walk in.  But the 2 times we've done it the weather has been phenomonal!!

We've already signed up for 2015 in Seattle and REALLY want others to join us this year.  The team of two is getting lonely.  Talking for 7 hours a day, 3 days straight for 6 years - we're running out of things to say to each other :)  If you decide you want to join us our team name is "because we can" look for it at registration.

2nd Annual Cedar Creek Crew Block Party

Saturday August 16th we gathered again to share summer coming to an end.  We honestly have the greatest neighborhood anyone could ask for!  Everyone had a great time and we are already looking forward to next year (maybe in September when it isn't quite as hot)

Gavin had his 5 year checkup and the thing he was the most excited about is that he doesn't have to get another shot until he's 11 years old.

Height = 43.62" (69%)

Weight = 45 lbs (80%)

Happy Birthday Gavin!!

He turned 5, and enjoyed everything about it.  We had a countdown on July 1st because he knew it was July and could hardly stand waiting for his birthday.  Every day he told us how many days until he was 5.  He's a still our sweet little boy even though he's growing up.  We had a fun day with friends and family!!
