Halloween 2013

We barely pulled off another family themed Halloween.  (Barb was sewing up until 5:30 pm to get these done!)  However, we only have 2 family photos of the evening.  Jason was busy pulling the wagon and Barb had a Genie in a lamp to take care of so our hands were full and not thinking too much about the camera.

We had fun, and now we have too much candy in the house!  We've already starting thinking about next years costumes…and will definitely start them a lot earlier.

She is growing like a weed!!  The boys adore her (all 3 of them).  Gavin and Liam want to hold her, touch her, cuddle her, kiss her, feed her, and anything else I'll let them do.  I've offered for them to help change diapers and they aren't willing to do that one.  Let's just hope this love continues into the teenage years.

Lola had her 1 month checkup last week and so far she's…well we like to think…perfect!

Oh to be a kid again!

As always we are so grateful to the doctors that keep us healthy, strong, and growing during the pregnancy and birth.  Dr. Crystal Newby was new to the Hendricks family with this pregnancy.  We were very happy with her and all of the staff (especially the nurses!!!) at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Thanks for keeping mom and baby healthy and safe!

Lola's first bath

She loved the warm water coming out of the faucet, didn't love being washed.  She just wanted to be warm and not mess with all the other stuff.  We've since also taken a shower and she loved that.  Good thing we have a big shower...mommy, 2 toddlers, and a newborn can be a little crowded in the shower.

Ladies Man

This is what happens when Liam attends co-ed birthday parties...

"Hey there little miss, would you like to have this dance?"

 "Uh, mommy is it okay if I'm dancing with a girl?"

 "Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about, watch this move!"

And we all fall down (gets the ladies every time!)

Overland Park Arboretum

We recently visited the Overland Park Arboretum to check out some tree options for our house.  They had an awesome play area for kids and we ran ours ragged.

The same type of maple we have in our front yard, just a LOT larger :)

Sizing her up

With each child we have chosen a stuffed animal to take a photo with them.  We take pictures at birth, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 1 year, and then each year after that on their birthday.  Just to note how much they've grown over the years.  So the pink bear made the list for Miss Lola.  This will be her picture buddy for the next 18 years.

 

Black Hoof Park

We really love this park, and can never remember the name of it or how to get to it.  So this time we took photos and we're blogging about it so we won't forget.  The last time we went was in July, but it should be a great place to visit this fall as well.
